HURICANE RELIEF STUFF – 2005
Neil drove to Dallas in September shortly after Katrina hit and spent some time working as a volunteer RN in the Medical Clinic in the Shelter at the Dallas Convention Center.

The day Rita hit, Neil arrived in Humble with his truck full of extra gasoline and water (imported from Colorado) and spent a few days working in the ER at Northeast Medical Center Hospital – where he had worked in the ER for 10 years before moving to Colorado.

These pictures are from Neil’s 11/05 assignment as a volunteer RN for Katrina Relief at a FEMA site aboard the MS Holiday, docked in Pascagoula, MS and housing some 1600 evacuees. The Medical team consisted of two Doctors and three Nurses. The ship’s medical staff took care of crew only and the “Gang of Five” took care of the evacuees.
